Research topic: Molecular double ionization and single ionization by strong laser pulses. Ab initio treatment

Research abstract:
Research will be directed to address the dynamics of small molecules in intense light fields (IR and XUV/Xray) by developing adequate theoretical approaches. And in particular (i) study of attosecond dynamics of double excitation and states in dissociative ionization of H2, as a model electron and fragment spectra, (ii) the interaction of ultra-short laser pulses with H2+ molecular ion, and (iii) extension of this study to core excitation in more complex molecules.
